Associate Fellowship of The College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong (AFCOphthHK)
Part A Examination – September 2026
The College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong (COHK) will conduct an examination for Part A of the Diploma of Associate Fellowship of the College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong (AFCOphthHK Part A Examination) on 20 September 2026.*
It is a 3-hour examination in the form of Multiple-Choice questions designed for its basic ophthalmic trainees. All Medical Practitioners who are registered with the Medical Council of Hong Kong are eligible to apply for the AFCOphthHK Part A Examination.
Please note that only 4 attempts are permitted for the AFCOphthHK Part A Examination. For further details, please refer to the COHK Training Curriculum from (here).

Part B Examination - October 2026
The next AFCOphthHK Part B Examination will be held in October 2026. Please download the Examination Notice here (PDF). Registered trainees who use eLogbook (i.e., those who entered training on/after 1 July 2023) can apply via the eLogbook system. Please kindly submit your application for the examination by 2 September 2026.
